Petunia (foster)'s Story...
My name is Petunia and I'm pretty like a flower. A 60 lb flower but a flower nonetheless. I'm a sweet 10 month old pittie who loves everyone! Sometimes I love some things a little too much. I probably shouldn't be around livestock or chickens and ducks. They are so much fun to chase and for some reason, they don't like that much : ) I live with an awesome foster family that has two little boys that are 2 and 5. They are the bestest. Also, my BFF is their dog. I love to snuggle with her and the family. I'm even good with their 20 year old cat! I walk great on my front clip harness and do well in my crate. I'm working really hard on potty training. I would love to have another dog sibling and go on lots of walks. Come and get a whiff of this sweet Petunia!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petunia (foster), a Portland Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
