Ben's Story...
Hello, my name is Ben. I am almost a year old. I have gorgeous long fur because I am a Maine Coon Mix. I love people and other cats. I don't mind dogs who have good manners.

I am positive for Feline Leukemia, but that is not the end of the world. I will still make a loving pet if you give me a chance. I can pass this on to other cats, but not to people. If you already have a cat with Feline Leukemia then no problem!

I was rescued from a hard life on the streets, but I was lucky enough to be brought to this shelter. Even though they found out I was positive for Feline Leukemia, I was not euthanized...PHEEEW!

Cats with this health issue can live long healthy lives. Please consider adopting me?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ben, a Toledo Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Toledo, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Toledo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toledo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toledo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toledo paves the way for another one to be saved.
