Lucas's Info...
| Breed: | German Shepherd Dog Mix | Color: | White | Age: | Puppy |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Male |
Lucas is a six week old chunk of a puppy, (born 1/1/13) almost as wide as he is long, with the cutest tail that curls up over his back. He looks like a little cream colored Mac truck. He is so happy to be alive, he can hardly contain himself. He enjoys his toys and his siblings but would rather play with you (or your pants legs). He cocks his head when you talk to him and gives great puppy breath kisses on your nose. He will lay on his back in your arms like a baby or snuggle your neck. His mom is a German Shepherd mix but daddy was a travelin' man so we have to guess what genetics gave Lucas that beautiful coat and Lab looking adorable face. Lucas and his siblings were born on the cold dirt floor of an old shed where his mother was chained with very little food or water. She did her very best for her babies but all would have perished if they'd not been rescued. Lucas will be a sturdy medium to large dog. He uses potty pads and has also learned to use the doggie door! He is vaccinated, neutered and ready to light up someone's life for many years to come.
Rescue Group Info...
Faithful Friends Animal Advocates, Inc is a non-profit organization commited to helping our community become a place where animals are treated with kindness and respect. Further, we want to be a voice for the welfare of animals in our community through various avenues. Our goal is to build an adoption center for the Neosho, MO community in order to benefit the abused, abandoned and neglected domestic animals in our community.
People
The organization is comprised of volunteers who meet nearly weekly to organize events in order that we may serve the community successfully. There are many different opportunities to volunteer and donate time or financial gifts. If you are at all interested or know someone who would like to support our efforts, please contact us.
We typically host adoption events on the first Saturday of every month. All other opportunities to meet our pets are done by appointment only.
If you are interested in one of our adoptable pets; first you must fill out an adoption application. Upon review, FFAA members will screen your application, a meet and greet for you and the pet will be set up. If there are no reservations on either party, the adoption contract will need to be filled out and signed. There is an adoption fee for all animals to help cover veterinary care prior to placement.
We are out of Neosho, MO in southwest Missouri. We strive to help those in need in Newton and McDonald Counties. We do not currently have a facility for holding animals, so we rely on volunteer foster homes.
