Queenie's Story...
Why Choose me?
Queenie is a pitbull who thinks she’s a Jack Russell – especially when the treats come out! She can jump straight up in the air, all four paws off the ground, with an impressive hang time ;) Unfortunately we couldn’t get a clear picture of her in mid-air, but we did get one where she was winding up for a big spring! Pitbulls sometimes don’t get walked as often as the other dogs, so when they do get out for some exercise and play time, they are ready to go! That was definitely the case with Queenie today. That’s not to say she didn’t enjoy her lap time, though! Queenie has a very expressive face – we managed to catch her goofy face and her soulful face for you.

Act quickly to adopt Queenie. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Queenie, a Athens Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Athens, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
