Wiggles's Story...
FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID

Big Boy Wiggles is a Cattle Dog mixed with some large breed dog (potentially Great Pyr) that was born into Fuzzy Pawz Rescue on 12/15/2012.

Wiggles is a happy boy with a lot of love to give. He loves to lie in your lap and be loved on; when he sees you he will greet you with enthusiasm and joy. He really likes to play with you; but beware he does still tend to use his mouth and feet to play like most puppies do and he is a herding breed so no children under 10 please.

He plays well with other dogs (bigger than he is); but as with most puppies needs to be supervised so he doesn't get too carried away. Wiggles should not be in a home with cats, small dogs or other furry creatures. Wiggles has been spending 3 days a week at Camp Bow Wow and does excellent with all the dogs and the people, it's a great way to burn off some of his energy!

Wiggles is an active dog who has a lot of energy; he would be great for an active family or with someone who loves to run, bike, hike, etc. No apartments for this boy -- he must go to a home with a fenced yard where he has room to play games and maybe herd around a large ball (one of his favorite games along with tug o war). He would do best in a home with at least one other adult dog for him to learn from.

Wiggles is house trained, crate trained, will sit on command (especially for a treat) and walks pretty well on a leash. Wiggles is working on his come, wait and lay down and leave it command as well.

Wiggles will need to go to a home where he will continue to get training in order to keep his mind stimulated. He will need an active family that will give him daily, regular exercise and socialization.

Wiggles has been fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and has been recently neutered.

If you can offer Wiggles a home that will both stimulate his need for adventure and will offer him the love he craves. please fill out an adoption application at http://www.fuzzypawzrescue.com/adoptionapplication.htm

There is a $75 adoption fee for Wiggles

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wiggles, a Boise Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Boise, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Boise.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boise already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boise breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boise paves the way for another one to be saved.
