Elza-Blue Heeler/Border Collie f. puppy Jan. 2013

Elza and her littermates, all sisters, were left as 6 week old puppies (Jan. 2013) in a high
kill rural Shelter. The Rescue came to their aid quickly and a foster home was found to care
for them until ready for adoption. Elza is the smallest of the group, but not to be left behind!
Her adoption fee is $275 to help with the costs of medical care in preparing for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elza, a Germantown Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
