If you like big dogs, then consider adopting RJ. He is a Labrador Retriever mix who is probably about a year or two old. He's a very high energy dog, so he needs a big yard where he can run. If you like to take long walks he would be a good companion. He's made lots of doggie friends at the shelter but he would love to be your forever friend. We don't know how RJ reacts to cats since he is not near them at the shelter. RJ is currently in Madison, Mississippi but transport can easily be arranged to New England through Animal Rescue Front! If you're interested in taking him into your forever home, please fill out the adoption form here: http://www.animalrescuefront.org/Adoption-Form.html
Rescue Group Info...
ARF started in 2005 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and because of the shocking treatment we saw many animals in the Deep South endure we have stayed committed to helping animals in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi. Many of these wonderful animals would be killed in a shelter if not for our continued efforts.
Adoption donation: $425.00 for our adult dogs 9 mos to 5 years and $325.00 for those who are older than 5 years of age. Un-neutered puppies (not fixed because they are too young) are $425.00 and neutered puppies <9mos old are $475.00. The adoption donation helps reimburse us for the vetting required to keep our animals healthy and safe, and if age-appropriate, spayed and neutered. As we rescue from the Deep South your adoption donation also helps offset the costs associated with getting your new family member home. We do require you to fill out an application and provide a vet reference, and a home inspection may be requested. Every animal we adopt MUST be spayed/neutered and we reserve the right to request proof of this. Our adoption application is on our website at: www.animalrescuefront.org
Thanks for rescuing!
Please note - we will not adopt a puppy to anyone who is not willing and committed to ensuring they never reproduce. Spaying and neutering your pet contributes to efforts to reduce unwanted and homeless animals in the United States and your animal will be healthier. Our adoption fees are nonrefundable.
We are a nationwide animal rescue and disaster response non-profit with a particular focus in Massachusetts, Mississippi and Louisiana.
