Mater's Story...

Mater is a neutered male, born in 2009.

Mater would love a family of his own, someone to play fetch with him in the yard or snuggle with on the couch. He enjoys playing with other dogs and would be very happy with another playful dog to pal around with. He is very attentive with his people, quite alert, inquisitive and knows some commands. Mater is great with cats too, is house-trained. A fenced yard required.

About Our Rescue Group...
Last Chance Rescue was formed in 1997 in order to save animals that would have otherwise been destroyed at area shelters. Giving them a chance at a loving home. We are a very diversified group, saving over 27 thousand animals from kill lists and research selling lists. We provide medical, food, shelter and a loving home until a new family is found. We are a true "No Kill" shelter, while protecting the welfare of the general public.

We are volunteers and many of our animals are in foster care.

Our Adoption Process...
Everyone must fill out a pre-adopt which will be reviewed at the time of the adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mater, a Howell Australian Shepherd/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Howell, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Howell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Howell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Howell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Howell paves the way for another one to be saved.
