Lanai's Info...
| Breed: | German Shepherd Dog Mix | Color: | White | Age: | Puppy |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Female |
Lanai has those beautiful ocean blue eyes that remind us of a Hawaiian island. She looks right into you with those gems. She is going to patent that eyeliner! She loves to play, cuddle, and curl up in your lap. She is a little shy but only takes a moment or two to warm up and then be all over you. She has learned to use her potty pads and the doggy door at six weeks of age! (born 1/1/13) She is a very smart girl! Even though she is one of the biggest of her siblings at 11 pounds, she doesn't throw her weight around (pardon the pun). She doesn't seem interested in being boss but enjoys being part of the gang. Lanai's mama is a very, very nice gentle, well-behaved German Shepherd/Husky mix who did her best to care for her babies as she was chained to a run-down shed with no food or water in severe temperatures. All would have perished without rescue. Lanai has no memory of those first days. She thinks the world is a wonderful place and would make anyone's life more beautiful with her presence and loyalty. She is vaccinated, spayed and waiting for that special someone to choose her!
Rescue Group Info...
Faithful Friends Animal Advocates, Inc is a non-profit organization commited to helping our community become a place where animals are treated with kindness and respect. Further, we want to be a voice for the welfare of animals in our community through various avenues. Our goal is to build an adoption center for the Neosho, MO community in order to benefit the abused, abandoned and neglected domestic animals in our community.
People
The organization is comprised of volunteers who meet nearly weekly to organize events in order that we may serve the community successfully. There are many different opportunities to volunteer and donate time or financial gifts. If you are at all interested or know someone who would like to support our efforts, please contact us.
We typically host adoption events on the first Saturday of every month. All other opportunities to meet our pets are done by appointment only.
If you are interested in one of our adoptable pets; first you must fill out an adoption application. Upon review, FFAA members will screen your application, a meet and greet for you and the pet will be set up. If there are no reservations on either party, the adoption contract will need to be filled out and signed. There is an adoption fee for all animals to help cover veterinary care prior to placement.
We are out of Neosho, MO in southwest Missouri. We strive to help those in need in Newton and McDonald Counties. We do not currently have a facility for holding animals, so we rely on volunteer foster homes.
