Hershey's Story...
This pretty young Lab is sweet as the chocolate she's named after. Hershey is 5-6 months old and weighs about 42 lbs. She is still a pup at heart so she's still playful, but also loves to have her belly rubbed. Hershey gets along well with children, other dogs, and cats.

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Janet at 913-385-0226 or LibraJH62@kc.rr.com so you can find out when and where you can meet HERSHEY!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hershey, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
