I am already spayed, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Hi there my name is Luna, goddess of the moon. I guess that is because I am white and so is the moon.( he he he) I am such a happy one year old boxer girl. Almost Home Boxer Rescue saved me at the shelter in late Jan and I have been with my foster family since then and boy oh boy do they keep telling me what advancements I have made. The big one is I am potty trained for the most part. I go tell them I need to go potty by pawing at them and putting my head on their lap. I have had one accident in the past month and I am pretty proud of that. My foster dad is amazed at my ability of eating my food in no time flat. He said I could be in some world record book. I also love to go on walks and I keep getting better by the day. I love my boxer foster brother and sister and we play from the time we get up till the time we have to go to bed. Don't get me wrong I do take naps during the day when my foster parents have to go to work or go out. I get to go in a crate when they leave and I just LOVE IT! I feel super safe in there and I sleep in one at night with the door open. My foster parents said I don't have to but it's where I get my best beauty rest. There are some nights I get to cuddle on the bed with my foster family but I usually make it to my crate by the morning. I love all big dogs, small dogs probably would be ok if I was introduced to them the right way. When I went to snake training there was a small dog that tried to be alpha and looked at me funny, that made me scared and I barked and growled at it. That's the only problem I have had with small dogs. I did go to the dog park and there was a small dog there I just ignored it and ran around with my foster sister and brother. I also don't do well with cats. I just don't like them. My foster mom and dad say that I must have had a hard first year of life casue I am scared of little things and cower down if someone raises their voice at me. I am getting better and you will just have to be a little patient with me as I develop trust. My foster parents said they will never let anyone hurt me again and after about a month of being with them I really started believing them and trust them more and more that I will even let them cuddle with me while we are watching tv. Oh and that's one thing I love to do is watch animal planet. If it's on in the house I will sit and watch it for hours. What can I say I like my shows too. he he he .........I am trying really hard to learn how to sit but I just can't get the hang of it yet. My foster parents said when I get to go to my forever home that I will need more training. Now one last thing, if you come and see me at an adoption event, which I think would be really cool, I am a little scared and timid. Its just at the events, not sure why I am like this but I really do want to meet you. I also would do really good in a home with another dog as I look to them for advice and I have so much energy I love to play with them and box. I play ball with the foster parents and I like that. My foster mom and dad had some kids over and I did really well with them. I let them pet me and play with me. As my foster mom says I am a gentle, kind soul. I don't drool after I drink water and I take my valley fever medicine like a champ.
Although I love my foster family and love living with them I would love someone to be my furever family and give me that furever home. Thanks for reading my story. Love Luna, the goddess of the moon.

Rescue Group Info...
We are a private, volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of unwanted, neglected, and abandoned pets. We specialize in boxers, but for the perfect home we can help you find the perfect pet, or point you to a rescue who can. We provide food, shelter, medical attention, and TLC during our rescues wait for the "RIGHT" forever home.
All of our dogs are in foster homes throughout the valley - we do not have a shelter that you can visit. Once you submit an application, your references are checked and the home visit is complete, we will contact you to set up a satisfactory meeting place for a get-together with your potential adoptive pet.
Our dogs are cared for in foster homes during this wait. We try to have them in a foster home environment for at least 2 weeks. They are temperament tested to the best of our ability to ensure a perfect match into their new home. Our number one concern is for the safety of the adoptive family and the happiness of the pet. We strive for a FOREVER placement - not all dogs are perfect for all families. We don't want to place "A" dog in your home - we want to place "THE" dog for your family!
We can't save every dog but we can make a difference...one dog at a time!
We are desperately seeking foster homes for our wonderful dogs! We also accept used crates or donations of any kind!
Please contact us about a specific pet - we do not have a shelter facility. All pets are in foster homes around the state of Arizona.
We prefer e-mail to cut down on cell phone minute usage! Once an application is submitted, it is reviewed, references are checked, and a home visit is done. If approved, we will contact you about the dog you are interested in. We want to place these dogs with the "RIGHT" families so it may take a bit to find that dog for you, please be patient.
We adopt within the state of Arizona or surrounding areas where there is no active boxer rescue.
