Other Pets at Shelter...
|Breed:||Domestic Shorthair||Color:||Tiger Striped||Age:||Young|
I am like some other cats that have been rescued—I am a little shy around people before I get to know them. And, who could blame us? So many of us have been in tough situations, and then we have been moved around. We are just looking to find our real homes where we will be safe and feel loved. So, while I may be a little shy at first, you will find that I am very playful (I love to play with balls!). I also like other cats, so maybe you would have a playmate for me? To meet me, please call AnimaLovers at 448-5468, and press 1 for the adoption line!
Rescue Group Info...
AnimaLovers was founded in 1995 by a small group of friends who wanted to provide needy cats and dogs in the Capital District of New York with a better way to find their way to safety and new lives. As of 2011, AnimaLovers is serving cats, only. AnimaLovers's mission is to:
* To provide housing, veterinary care, and adoption for unwanted, abandoned, injured, or stray cats;
* To educate adopters, as well as the general public, about the health and training needs of our companion animals;
* To promote spaying and neutering as an efficient and humane means of animal population control; and
* To advocate for legislation that will prevent cruelty to animals.
In addition, AnimaLovers has expanded beyond the boundaries of cat and dog rescue and adoption to meet the needs of other animals as well by creating programs to help families keep their companion animals healthy by providing low cost spay/neuter services and emergency veterinary care.
