Lacey's Story...
Hello there. My name is Lacey. I was born on March 17, 2004. I am a senior border collie. I’m a smart gal and I learn fast. You can always teach an old dog like me new tricks! I am very fond of men. I am very gentle around the elderly. I want nothing more than to be loved. I am a cuddler and I love to be brushed and I love to play with toys. I spent most of my life in a barn being used for breeding. I lived alone. I was very sad. I’m much happier now. I am now house trained and I will do better if you put me in a kennel when you are away at least for now. I do well with older children but little ones make me nervous.
I am so loving. I need a quiet, calm and gentle owner. I promise I will love you for the rest of my life. Please look into my wonderful brown eyes and fall in love. Love, Lacey.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lacey, a Sheboygan Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Sheboygan, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Sheboygan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sheboygan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sheboygan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sheboygan paves the way for another one to be saved.
