Lucy in Houston's Story...
Lucy is young, about 2, sweet, shots, wormed, microchipped and spayed already. She is leery of men at first, but after a week has finally warmed up to my husband. Likes kids and some dogs, but needs to be an only dog or with a docile dog her own size. Her hair looks flat in these pictures, but trust me she has lots of JRT hair when fluffy. She could be a mix though, I am not sure. She boings like a JRT! She is not hyper at all.

Lucy is an MCAS shelter dog who is being fostered. She needs a home quickly. So, please consider Lucy!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy in Houston, a Austin Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Austin, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
