Cassidy (Cassie)'s Story...
Meet Cassidy, a one and a half year old female lab mix of about 45 pounds! When Cassidy arrived at the shelter in South Carolina, she had significant damage to one leg to the extent that the leg had to be amputated -- but Cassidy has adjusted just fine and has no problems getting around on three legs! She is house trained, crate trained, and loves her squeaky toys! She is a little nervous about meeting new people at first, but once she adjusts they become forever friends! She is in a foster home with other dogs her size and a little dog, she does just fine with them all! She has been around cats, and didn't seem to mind them either. She is a happy go lucky lab, that just wants to give you tons of kisses! Cassidy is fostered in Hanover, PA!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cassidy (Cassie), a Hanover Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Hanover, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Hanover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hanover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hanover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hanover paves the way for another one to be saved.
