Callie's Story...
I am Callie a 5 month old beautiful calico. I still can’t believe I’m alive now. When I was rescued, I was in a bad shape. It was starvation, dehydration, and malnutrition. I was so thin that my ribs were showing on my stomach. I couldn’t even open my eyes. But a few weeks after the rescue, I feel much better!! Now I’m fully recovered and discovered that I can be really really happy with these humans! My character? I’m a girl who passionately seeks love and affection, and I give you all my love in return. Sure, I may need a week or two to get to know you, but I know you’ll be alright! I have a pair of beautiful eyes, see? And I even have this unique and wonderful smiley face when I’m really happy. Am I quiet? Well, I am still a “tomboy”, but I will become a classy lady.

Please call CARE @ (804) 288-9797 and ask about Hiro’s girl Callie.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Callie, a Richmond Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
