Chibi's Story...
My name is Chibi. I am 4 months old and I was born in a small hut by the Forest Hill Park. One night, it got really really cold and white things were falling from the sky. But I had to got out and find some food… That night, I was captured by two-legged animals! I was pretty confused at first, but they are kind and gave me food and a cozy place to stay for a while. But I know this is not my house. I need to find someone who can promise me everything is all right. How do I look? Well, I am proud of my silver tabby coat, strong legs, and beautiful tail! I love playing with other cats if they aren’t too aggressive to me. I know I will be a little bit shy around new folks first. But I know I will be all right if you could give me some time. I haven’t met human kids yet, but I think I can manage!

Please call CARE @ (804) 288-9797 and ask about Hiro’s boy Chibi.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chibi, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
