Hi, my name is Trip and I'm a 20 lb. Terrier/Yorkshire mix. I came to Suncoast with my brother, Scotty, and we are like two peas in a pod. I am housebroken and I have always lived in an adult home, so I'm not sure I would like children. Walking on my leash and riding in the car are some of my favorite activities. If you're looking for a very friendly and loving dog, I'm the boy for you!!!
Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
We are open to the public for adoptions (or just come to visit the animals) as follows:
Tuesday - Friday 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Adoptions stop @ 4:30 PM)
Saturday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (adoptions stop @ 3:30 PM)
CLOSED SUNDAY AND MONDAY
