Frank Nemo's Story...
Little Frank Nemo was found abandoned in an apartment complex and a very nice man saved him. He is just 9 lbs and is about 12 weeks old (Feb. 10th) Frank is a little dachsund with beagle coloring but his appearance is that of a purebred dachsie. He is very friendly and outgoing and he LOVES to sleep in bed with his humans. He is cuddly and loves attention. He is not fond of the crate, he much prefers to be with you. He is doing great with wee wee pads and housebreaking both. He's a smart little guy! Please give him a wonderful new home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frank Nemo, a Staunton Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
