Ruff Ruff! My name is Penny
|Breed:||Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Maltese Mix||Color:||White||Age:||Puppy|
|Size:||Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less||Sex:||Female||ID#:||5414597|
I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Prepare to have your heart melted! Penny is tiny bundle of love and fun. She’s still a puppy at 10 months old, but she’s nearly full grown at just over five pounds. She’s as versatile as she is cute: happy to be held and carried around, and also happy to run free at the beach. Do you want an interactive little dog to play with? She’ll do it. Do you want a quiet dog to cuddle with? She’ll do that too. She’s the complete package!
Penny’s background is a rags-to-riches story. She was born with bad kneecaps and abandoned in the streets of San Jose at just four months old, when she could barely drag herself around. A fantastic surgeon fixed her legs in February and now she is fully recovered, able to walk, run and play like any normal dog. Her confidence was slower to heal, but after several months of positive training in a nurturing environment, she finally came out of her shell with a super happy and playful personality!
Penny LOVES all other dogs, any size, and she loves to play. She is especially bonded to her foster sister, Happy, so it would be great if they could be adopted together. She is curious about but respectful of cats. She’s crate-trained and housebroken, and she’s learning basic training. Penny is still a puppy, but she has a very mild and calm disposition – quiet and well-mannered, but also a lot of fun when it’s playtime. More photos here: https://picasaweb.google.com/
