Meet Skittles, a wonderful almost 5 month old Border Collie! He was named Skittles due to the alternating black and pink paw pads, as well as the cute dots and freckle on his face and legs. What an easy pup he has been so far! He’s taken to his crate with no problem, and even goes in on his own to take a nap. It’s also been a huge part of his successful potty training. We’re coming up on almost 2 weeks without an accident in the house. He’s also up to 7-8 hours in the crate during the day.

Skittles has a very laid back personality, with an even better on/off switch. He will happily engage in a game of ball/tug, where he fetches a ball and trades it for a nice game of tug. In fact, he learned that game within a half hour. He is VERY smart and has a quiet confidence. One of his favorite activities is to play chase in the yard with his foster brother and sister. He just idolizes his foster brother. Probably the most endearing thing about Skittles is that he loves to snuggle and cuddle. He really is a little lover! He’s also doing very good on a leash and has enjoyed trips to the doggie store to meet new people. He’s very sociable and loves the attention.

He is on track to be neutered this month, and will be fully vetted by the end of February. If you’re looking for a super sweet and smart border collie pup, Skittles is your fella!
