Mandi's Story...
Added: Sept 3, 2010

My name is Mandy. Mandy has been at FOSCA for almost 3 years now-sweetest, smartest dog you will ever get to know. She needs a home with preferably no other pets or small kids;) Please help her she SOOOO deserves a wonderful home!

For the past year, I have relied on shelter volunteers to tell my story. Don’t get me wrong these volunteers have been great, but as you can see I’m still at the shelter. Since I’m a take charge kind of girl, I thought it was time for me to take care of my own fate. So let’s get right down to business and let me explain my wants and needs. 1.I need someone who understands that I must be the “only child” in the household. 2.I need a fenced in back yard for the times that I want to just be me. 3.Having a pond or a swimming pool is a big plus for me. I love the water (If you don’t have either but would be willing to buy me a kiddie pool I can adapt!) 4.I am a health conscious girl. Long walks at least twice a day will help me keep my girlish figure. 5.I am the only one in my family that has received a “higher education”. I need someone who will appreciate that education and assist me with continuing to use it to keep my mind bright. 6.During my down time I love being a couch potato. I will keep you company while you watch TV, read a book, or just hang out! 7.I love peanut butter. Peanut butter and small dog treats tucked in my Kong will get extra points. 8.I love to share warm wet kisses, so I need someone who won’t mind my doing this. 9. If I can liveabove the "gnat line" it would be a great thing. These flying insects get in my blue eyes and drive me nuts! If anyone out there reads the above and feels they can meet my expectations, please contact my agent, Mary Gene Cotten at (912) 564-2005 or email and let’s set up a date to meet! To meet Mandi call Mary Gene at 912-863-4533 or email . Mandi is spayed and up to date on vaccines and heartworm medication.!
You can adopt Mandi for $100. This fee includes training, rabies shot, wormer, DHLPP shot (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza & Parvovirus), and spay. This fee pays for her medical attention and her spay.

To start and speed up the adoption process, please complete and submit the Adoption Application form BEFORE you inquire about our pets. You can download the application form at our website at After submitting the completed Application we will contact you within 48 hours.

For more information or to make an appointment to meet Mandi call Mary Gene at 912-564-0005 or 912-863-4533 or email her at Age and Breed are estimated to the best of our knowledge and no guarantees on size and temperament can be given. Make sure you chose a dog by breed, size, energy level and age that will fit your activity level and lifestyle.

We require a fenced yard (exceptions made on a case by case basis.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mandi, a Sylvania English Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog for sale in Sylvania, or seeking a English Bulldog dog from a breeder in Sylvania.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sylvania already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sylvania breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog breeders who help with English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sylvania paves the way for another one to be saved.
