Vail's Story...
Vail is a 1 year old unspayed female Border Collie with a nice temperament, and good recall. She is a high energy dog who will need lots of exercise and mental stimulation to keep her out of trouble. Vail is very aware of her surroundings and alert. She seems to get along with other dogs, but will not be a good choice for a home with cats. She appears to be house trained although we can not say for sure. Vail will be available for adoption on February 25th after 6:00pm.

If you want to apply for Vail click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Humane Society.Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vail, a Meridian Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
