Arlo-New Pictures's Story...
3/31/13- Arlo is finishing up heartworm treatment and will be ready for his forever home in the middle of April. Arlo loves to sleep in the bed at night and loves to play with the kids in his foster home. Arlo weighs around 50lbs and does have quite a bit of energy. So an active home might be best for Arlo.
2/17/13- Say hello to Arlo. Arlo was found as a stray wandering around all by himself. Arlo is around a year old. Arlo is very sweet and loves kids, cats, and other dogs. Arlo does not meet a stranger. Arlo is a typical 1 year old lab who loves to play but he also loves to lay with you on the couch. Unfortunately Arlo is heartworm positive but he is a light positive. Arlo is looking for a home to call his own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Arlo-New Pictures, a Marion Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marion, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marion paves the way for another one to be saved.
