found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Willow is still full of puppy-like energy, and would do well in a home where she is exercised frequently and for long periods of time. She would probably be good at agility sport. She would also do well in a home with another dog to play with. Willow is calm in the house, but she is kept outside when her people are gone. Willow does well on a leash and rides very calmly in a car.
Willow's caretaker Dianne took her in from Lake County Animal Control (LCAC) in early September 2012 when she was literally giving birth! Willow had found a place in somebody's yard to deliver her puppies, and when Animal Control came to pick her up, she was already whelping. Dianne had fostered dogs for LCAC before, so they called her and she came and picked up Willow during her birthing process. Though Willow was emaciated at the time, all of her seven puppies survived!
Dianne had planned to keep Willow, but she already has a female GSD who does not welcome Willow into her home. GSRSV has evaluated Willow and is placing her as a "Program Dog." This means that GSRSV is seeking a new home for Willow through its adoption program while her caretaker continues to care for her. Willow's adoption fee is $250.
