DUKE III's Story...
One look into those soulful, golden eyes and you know that Duke is a special dog. He's a pocket- sized guy with a sweet personality.
Duke gets along great with other dogs and seeks out affection with people, although he's never pushy about it.
Duke appears to be a dog that was possibly over-corrected or roughly handled at some point. He needs to feel safe and it is important to take things slowly.
If you're looking for a well mannered Boxer in need of some TLC than Duke is your boy!

Please fill out an adoption application. After review, one of our volunteers will contact you to answer your questions and to set up a home check and a meeting with the dogs. Inquiries WITHOUT the application will NOT be answered. Here is the link:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DUKE III, a Alameda Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Alameda, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Alameda.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alameda already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alameda breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alameda paves the way for another one to be saved.
