Vandal's Info...
| Breed: | Rottweiler | Color: | Black - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn | Age: | Young |
| Size: | Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg) | Sex: | Male |
Meet Vandal! He is about 1.5 to 2 years old. He is very handsome big guy. He will probably weigh in around 100 pounds when he is all filled out. He likes other dogs and seems to do well with kitty cats too. He is a huge snuggler and loves to lay with his head on your lap. He needs basic obedience training but he does listen very well when you correct him. He hasn't lifted his leg except once and in general is not a huge marker. He seemsto be potty trained. He is looking for an active family who is willing to take him
On long walks, jogs or hiking and keep him safe inside the home. He does not jump on the furniture or try to get in bed with you. I have not had to crate him at all because he is so well behaved. He doesn't chew on things he shouldn't and enjoys patrolling the yard with the other Rotties and investigating any strange sounds they hear. I have not really heard him bark though. I'm sure he has a voice, but hasn't used it yet. He has been with us for only a couple of days. He will be moving in with a foster family on 2/17. They have two Rotties and two adorable little boys to play with, ages 2 and 4. If he is good with the children, which I expect nothing less, then he just may be the perfectly well balanced well behaved rottweiler you have been looking for. Please join us next Saturday 2/23 on a Poker Run (go to www.rottenrottie.com for all the details) and you will be able to meet Vandal and the rest of the Rotten Rotties up for adoption! They are offering up free kisses to those who register for the game as well! Don't want to miss that!
Rescue Group Info...
ASSIST AND SAVE THE LIVES OF ROTTWEILERS DOGS FROM BEING EUTHANIZED AT OUR COUNTY’S SHELTERS, TO PROTECT AND REHOME STRAY AND UNWANTED DOGS, TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE IMPORTANCE OF ALTERING THEIR PET TO REDUCE THE OVER POPULATION OF PETS IN MARICOPA COUNTY
We are a foster based rescue and have our dogs in foster homes in the east valley mostly. We are always looking for foster homes so that we are able to save more of the beautiful rotties that find themselves homeless. If you are interested in becoming a foster home for Rotten Rottie Rescue, please contact us to learn more!
Events will be updated as their dates and locations become available
If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by copying and pasting this link https://skydrive.live.com/redir.aspx?cid=3d2e997ca31d6e6d&resid=3D2E997CA31D6E6D!656&parid=3D2E997CA31D6E6D!108
If you have difficulties getting the above link to work, you can go to our website, click on the forms tab, and then download the questionnaire, complete it and email it back to us.
We may recommend a different rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee between $300 and $350 depending on how much money had to be invested into the dog to make it adoptable. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers.
We rescue Rottweiler dogs in Maricopa and Pinal Counties. We are based in Gilbert, AZ but have foster homes throughout the valley.
