Meow! My name is Handsome Harry
Handsome Harry's Info...
|Breed:||Domestic Shorthair||Color:||Tiger Striped||Age:||Adult|
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.
I've been rescuing animals for 30 years, and all to me are unique, special...but there is something about this boy.
Harry showed at my outside colony a few days before Sandy hit. He just grabbed my heart the minute I saw him. There was just something about him. After Sandy struck I was sick with worry about this gentle boy, was he ok, did he survive, how could he, a gentle boy survive the force of the wind and water of the hurricane? When I got to the colony I literally ran to find him and there he was...sitting there in the midst of all that destruction just waiting for me with those eye..and I knew I couldn't leave him there even one more night. Even though we didn't have room, even though we were pulled in a hundred directions after the storm, I had to take him then and there...and that is exactly what I did. He has been to the vet and while a little skinny he is doing just great. He is so grateful to be rescued that he just purrs as soon as you look at him. He is a gentle, sweet, loving boy who is going to add so much joy to the right family.
If you can guarantee to love Harry and give him the forever home he deserves, pls go to www.onebyonenj.org and complete an adoption application. It will be the best move you ever made....

Rescue Group Info...
OnebyOne is a registered 501c3 not-for profit cat rescue made up of a group of animal loving, dedicated, tireless volunteers in Central/South NJ. We are NOT a shelter. Our focus is to rescue stray, abandoned, homeless cats and kittens. Once each cat is in our care they are vaccinated, neutered/spayed and given any and all medical attention they need. Each cat is fosted in a wonderful home, nurtured and loved until we are able to find each one their forever home.
Another focus of our group is TNR* (trap, neuter, return). In an effort to help reduce over crowding in state shelters and minimize the outdoor feral cat population in NJ, OnebyOne is not only providing hands on help, but also providing education and rescourecs to help people who want to get involved in their own backyard or their community.
All of the animals listed for adoption on our page have at one time been either strays or were rescued from the state shelters, some of them within hours of impending euthanasia.
The ultimate goal of OnebyOne goal to both prevent the birth of more homeless animals and to find families for all those who want them. Because of foster space limitations, we do place mostly cats, but you will find the occasional dog listing here, as we courtesy post for fellow trusted Rescuers in the NJ area.
Please note: WE DO NOT BREED KITTENS!!! If there are kittens listed for adoption at any time on this page, they were rescued.
OnebyOne is lucky enough to maintain a foster network throughout NJ . We work closely with our fosters, other rescues, and various shelters to place these rescued cats and dogs in loving forever homes.
OnebyOne does not receive any funding. The only way we can continue to rescue and help these precious animals is your donations. Food, litter, petsmart/costo gift cards, laundry detergent, paper towels are always needed.
All events will have cats and kittens for adoption, along with give-a-ways, raffles, paw print jewelry and watches for sale. We will also have cats toys, dog toys, bones and lots of other fun stuff! Come visit!!

Scheduled Weekends at Petsmart in Stafford, NJ
Our process is simple if you are a loving home. We require an application with a vet reference, note that we will be calling your current vet to confirm all information. A volunteer from OnebyOne will also do a house check before allowing the cat to be adopted.
Some individuals may deem this process excessive, however, pls note that our Founder has been rescuing animals for over 25 years and has seen too much too allow any cat/kitten we rescue to go to a home that we are unsure of. Our cats are our priority and we take that responsibility seriously.
