Brownie Pratt's Story...

Hi my name is Brownie and I was born on January 27th.  I am the most cuddly puppy in our bunch and I love to snuggle with people and the other pups. I have the most ridiculously cute habit of running in front of you and then flopping to present my belly for scratches. We'e not too sure what my daddy was although my adorable mama Corah is a small terrier mix and available for adoption through ACT as well, best guess is that I'll be somewhere around 20lbs but no guarantess. I currently live with other dogs both big and small and I love them all. I know how to use a potty pad if I'm confined to one room and I'm learning to go outside to potty. At this time I am Crypt which means that one of my testicles has not dropped, this will not affect my future health but you will need to bring me back to my foster mommy in a couple of months so that they can do my neuter surgery (ACT will pay for the surgery). If you'd like to meet me please complete an application online or email my foster mommy at fallonp321@yahoo.com.

Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Animal Compassion Team (ACT) is a non-profit animal welfare organization. All ACT animals are spayed & neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, if old enough heartworm tested, de-wormed, and microchipped prior to adoption.
Every pet adopted comes with a free health exam in the first two weeks, with our vet at Pet Medical Center, Fresno, http://petmedcenterfresno.com/

Four Week Dog Training Class

All of our ACT dogs come with a new pet starter four week training class that we encourage all our adopters to take advantage of!  This class will allow you to bond with your new family member and teach them the skills they need to be a good canine citizen.

Adoption Fees

  • Dog Adoption Donation: $185
  • Cat Adoption Donation: $65
ACT operates primarily out of foster homes, and if you would like to meet a particular animal, please contact their foster parent(s) to make arrangements. You can also fill out an adoption application on our website at www.animalcompassionteam.com.

About Our Rescue Group...
The vision for ACT has been brewing in the minds of the Animal Compassion Team founders for many years. The paths we have walked have prepared us and tested our determination through hard work, buckets of tears, mountains of fecal matter (a favorite topic of discussion amongst animal rescuers), and more then our fair share of discouragement and heartbreak. Having said that, why would we choose to dive in deeper? For the love of the animals we serve. It is just that simple. Dogs, cats, and other wonderful animals are dying in huge numbers daily. We hope to help change that. In August of 2009 we became a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation with the state of California and the Federal Government. It was, and continues to be, a huge leap of faith for all of us who already feel overwhelmed by the work we are doing but we believe this is the time....this is what we have all been preparing for. One life saved makes all the effort and emotional investment worthwhile. This is going to be an exciting journey and we hope to post MANY happy endings. New animals arrive daily......stay tuned .....we have only just begun!

Our Mission Statement:

To provide a safe haven for domestic animals, regardless of breed or species, through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption and sanctuary. To advocate for the humane treatment of animals and promote the human-animal bond. To educate the public about the importance of kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership which will emphasize spaying and neutering. To cooperate and work with other animal rescues and shelters towards the goal of becoming a no-kill nation.
