My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

McCall is one of the sweetest little ladies that we’ve ever met. She is calm, polite and well trained and grabs the heart of EVERYONE that she meets. She knows basic commands and does very well on a leash. She LOVES to be with her people and is content to lay by our feet wherever we are. She is fine with kids, other dogs and cats, but she’s definitely more interested in her people than her 4 legged siblings (she wouldn’t be great if you’re looking for a playful friend for your other animals). Her beautiful black and white coat is soft and shiny and sheds much less than other Newfs that we’ve known. She doesn’t get on furniture unless she’s invited and she hasn’t had ANY problems with chewing or using the bathroom outside. Another plus is that she rarely drools (we haven’t had to wipe her mouth once). She’s a petite senior (7.5 years) that is as sweet as can be. At this time, she is on the lean side weighing in at 81 pounds (she can stand to gain some weight). She has a bit of arthritis (she can easily do steps and hop in/out of the car) and has small protein deposits on her eyes (normal for her age & does not affect her vision), but the vet said that she’s healthy and has a long life ahead of her.
