Finn's Story...
Fly down to the shelter for the great Finn! He's a 10 month old Doberman that was surrendered to the shelter because his family moved. He was recently adopted and returned due to his lack of training. His first family said he was a wonderful family pet that loves kids but they should be older. They also said Finn does not like other dogs and chased the cats in the neighborhood. He has been fine with all the dogs at the shelter. Finn is house trained and was crated when no one was home. This sweet boy barks at new people and situations, but is fine once he gets to know you. When Finn is outside he needs to be on a leash or he will roam. His 2 favorite loves are running and playing with (older) kids. He's not even a year old yet so will need training in obedience and manners, but he is well on his way to being a great Dobie! Stop by soon and check out Finn. THERE IS AN ADOPTION PENDING ON FINN.

If you have older kids in your family and are interested in adopting Finn, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Finn, a Elyria Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
