Chunk's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Chunk's Story...
We at New Leash are suckers for two things: cute ears and BIG smiles. Chunk, our newest chihuahua, checks off both those boxes. Seriously! Have you seen a more infections grin?

Besides having a smile that would win over any discerning dentist, Chunk is a pretty awesome guy. His constantly wiggly tail is always there to greet everyone. Including pooches! She's dog social and would be a wonderful addition as a second + dog.

Chunk will be in a foster home soon, and we'll hopefully know more. But if you're ready to give him a try, visit our adoption page!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chunk, a Chicago Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
