Sheriff's Story...
My name is Sheriff. I was abandoned in the inner-city and was looking for something to eat, when the PITC girls saw me by a boarded up house. At first everyone thought I was chained to the house, but I wasn't chained to anything, I was just wearing a huge heavy chain around my neck. The girls asked everyone if they knew me but they all just said I was just a stray... They gave me some cookies and it was love at first bite ! They were delicious ! The ladies kept talking about how skinny I was and the cookies kept coming, these ladies had places to be, but they were pretty darn determined not to leave me behind to eat garbage. So they loaded me up into her PITC vehicle and I snuggled up in a lap for a ride ! I really liked the moving thing with windows and I really like to sit on laps ! I was 32lbs when I was found and everyone around me says I should weigh about 50lbs. I am about 1.5 years old, I get along with other dogs and I am now at an amazing foster home learning this thing called manners. I am being treated like a king and gaining weight each day. Now all I need is a family to call my own, a home, a lap, maybe even someone to play ball with me ! Could this be you?

I am fully vetted, neutered, micro chipped and heartworm negative. All I need now is someone to call my own!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sheriff, a Dallas American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Dallas, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
