Chief's Story...
Hi, I'm Chief! I was found in battle creek with no collar, or tags and no microchip. I am a purebred husky and should have all those things to help keep me safe in case I get lost. I also wasn't neutered which makes my likeliness to wander even more intense. My owners never came for me, as I was at the shelter for almost a month. POET decided that was too long for a handsome young dog like me. I am 1 1/2 to 2... years old and am now neutered and fully vetted. POET is also going to chip me so if I ever get lost again I can find my way home. I do well with other dogs and had a temperment test before being placed into rescue. I am not as independent as some huskys are. I like to be near you and cuddle/lean on/with you. I love kids but can be playful and am large for a husky so kids over 5 and a fenced in yard please! Hope to meet my furever family soon! If you are interested in Chief, please go to our website www.poetanimalrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chief, a Garden City Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Garden City, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Garden City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden City paves the way for another one to be saved.
