Cheeks's Story...
This is Cheeks! She was rescued from a gassing shelter in Georgia. Cheeks is shy, but warms up. She was being fostered with children, dogs and cats and did fine with everyone. She is also housebroken. Cheeks weighs 45 lbs is fully vetted and spayed. She is a staffordshire terrier/boxer/shep. mix(best guess) and is stunning and mild mannered in person. She deserves a loving kind home. She is a total love bug!
Her foster mom says, "In the time I've been fostering her she has been wonderful with my 2 young children and doesn't pay the slightest attention to my 2 cats. I understand she was with a couple dogs before she came to us and did great with them. I think that she will do great with a family that can help her build her confidence (she'll repay with lots of gentle kisses!) and even another dog that she can buddy up to."
Cheeks is becoming a volunteer favorite. If you are interested in adopting, or fostering Cheeks, or any of our dogs please contact us through www.poetanimalrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cheeks, a Garden City American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer for sale in Garden City, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in Garden City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden City paves the way for another one to be saved.
