BREWSKI NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!

Name: Brewski    Breed: Shepherd Mix

Approximate Age: 1 year

Approximate Weight: 55 lbs

Currently Living at:  DC area foster home - but Brewski would love a home to call his own-  please consider giving Brewski a warm and safe home!

This handsome fella is Brewski!  He's a one year old brown and tan shepherd mix who weighs 55 lbs at the moment. We think Brewski has a bit of a tough time before coming to Lucky Dog. He is in desperate need of family who can show him what a loving home can be.  He needs someone who is patient and kind.  Because he can be a little wary in new situations, he does best when he has another, more confident dog whose lead he can follow.

The great thing about adopting a shy or reserved dog is that you will be able to watch Brewski bloom right in front of you.  Brewski would do best in a house with older kids (over 15) who understand this is a boy that needs some special love and patience.

Brewski is SO READY to find his furever home!  Look at that great, big smile! His new family will need to keep him active with daily walks and trips to the dog park.  What a great dog name to yell across the dog park, BREWSKI!  Once he's had his play time, he will need to go to obedience classes to learn to be the best behaved dog on the block!

Brewski loves his treats and will do great in training.  Brewski will need to attend some basic training so he learns your expectations plus your boundaries.  Training will help you bond with Brewski and it is great family time.  Brewski would also benefit from a confidence building class- training helps a dog gain confidence and grow into great dogs you know they can be!

Do you have a place in your home for Brewski?

Like most shelter dogs, Brewski may need a refresher on housetraining when he gets to a new home.  He is crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $300, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our
Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Sheila at sheilam@luckydoganimalrescue.org!

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a group of highly motivated and highly dedicated volunteers. We spend countless hours making sure that wonderful dogs find loving forever homes. We don't do it for money -- we do it for the joy a dog can bring to its new family; we do it for our love of animals; and we do it to save lives!
Come Meet Our Pets...
Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
Our Adoption Process...
The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue rescues homeless and abandoned dogs from high-kill shelters, owners who can no longer care for them, and other high-risk situations. Lucky Dog works with dedicated volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and kennels to provide loving temporary care while we find well-matched, carefully screened forever homes for each dog we take in. We also serve as a support group to our adopters and all dog owners by providing ongoing education and resources for the well-being of their dogs, including the importance of proactive spay/neuter policies, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.
