Max's Story...
This is Max. He was picked up yesterday and if he is not claimed by 2-20-13 he will be up for adoption. Max is believed to be a german shepherd akita mix. Max is also up to date on all his shots and his rabies. He is house-trained and is g...ood with cats and dogs. Max can jump privacy fences so he will need to be somewhere like out in the country or in a privacy fence with another dog. When there is another dog out there with him or if you are outside with him he will not jump. Max is currently at the Glenpool Animal Shelter and his adoption fee will be $25. For more information or to adopt please call 918-691-9665.

Act quickly to adopt Max. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Glenpool German Shepherd Dog/Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Akita for sale in Glenpool, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Akita dog from a breeder in Glenpool.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glenpool already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glenpool breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Akita breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glenpool paves the way for another one to be saved.
