Harley Boy's Story...
Harley Boy is a white shepherd that is approximately 3yrs old and weighs 65lb. Harley is very very calm, loving, and friendly. Harley is crate and housetrained. Harley loves other dogs, but he hasn't been around cats in his foster home. Harley is GREAT with kids! He is patient and playful with even young children. Harley came to us very very thin and on the meek side. He has turned out to be a loving and playful dog. He enjoys his personal space (will hide out in his crate without coercion) but most of the time you can find him right in the middle of the mix of what is going on in the household. He only barks at the wildlife in the backyard. He is playful with kids and gentle even when they are a little too excited. He is housebroken, sweet, and ready to be the perfect addition to a family home.

The $85 adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, rabies tag, heartworm test, and 1st month's flea/tick & heartworm preventative. Please complete an adoption application at www.sarocks.org, or email adopt@sarocks.org if you would like to make this dog part of your family!

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
San Antonio ROCKS is a non-profit organization that was created to bring awareness to our cities homeless animal situation. Our organization is run by a group of committed volunteers who are dedicated to helping San Antonio become a no-kill city.
More than a rescue, SAROCKS is focused on bringing awareness and alternatives to kill shelters by implementing community programs that educate the public about our homless stray population.
Founded in late 2012, a collective group of individuals came together after spending countless days and sleepless nights pleading for the city's homeless pets, only to find that most of the efforts were in vain. Many animals remain homeless in our city and continue to be euthanized daily because there is no place for them to go. Our organization not only focuses on our current pet crisis by offering foster and adoption programs, but also focuses on the education of our young generation, so that they will be able to continue our efforts into making our city a no-kill city.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley Boy, a San Antonio Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
