Amber is the sweetest, most laid back dog, and she loves people. Amber is friendly with everyone and wags her tail whenever you look at her or call her name. She's a little slow on three legs but never misses an opportunity to get up and greet you! She's game for walks as long as they include frequent breaks to stop and smell the roses. She much prefers a cozy bed, lounging in the front yard, or just laying at your feet. She relishes belly rubs and kisses from her people. In return, she'll lovingly gaze at you with beautiful, soulful eyes.
Amber does not enjoy being around other dogs. She wants to check them out but snarls and growls when they return the interest! She seems confused by this, as if she really wants to pal around with canines but is vulnerable without that back leg. Amber wags her tail a lot and is loving with all people: women, men, children, teens, etc. She's tolerant of cats and mostly likes to give them friendly chase!
Adoption fee is $225 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, spay/neuter. Adoption fees also allow us to continue saving animals. Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.

We are a private, non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. We work with foster homes to help find homes for pets in need. We coordinate with other shelters and rescue groups to help spread the word about homeless pets on a regular basis. Our philosophy is that each pet deserves a loving home and a long, healthy, happy life. We do everything in our power to ensure pets receive the training, veterinary care, and loving attention needed in order to provide a "happy ending" for everyone! We operate a volunteer-run thrift store in Breckenridge, Colorado to help fund our operations so we can help as many pets as possible. "For Pets' Sake" is located at 203 N. We ask potential adopters to fill out our adoption application form on our website online, or we can email one directly. Once the application is reviewed and approved, we arrange to do a quick home visit. Once the home visit has been approved, an adoption agreement needs to be filled out online at www.animalrescueoftherockies.org
