Raven-One Inspiring Little Guy's Story...
Why is a raven like a writing desk? Well, in this case, I think it's because you can be inspired when you sit in front of either of them. Raven had a rough start at life. He was found by a nice lady in her garage as a tiny kitten, not really old enough to be apart from his mother. The lady happened to be a client of a dog trainer who is friends with one of our fosters. They brought Raven to us because her dog had cat aggression issues and she couldn't keep him. The poor little guy was infested with fleas, but he didn't let it dampen his happy mood. Even after a bout of ringworm and a horrible eye infection, Raven is still the sweetest little guy. He loves to cuddle and he shows concern for the other kittens if anything is amiss. After extensive treatment, Raven's eye is much better and he still has most of his sight in it. There is a small cloudy spot, but the ophthalmologist says that it will get smaller as time goes on. We are eternally grateful to his doctor. Without him, Raven probably would have lost the infected eye. But something tells me that even with one eye, Raven would have still had the same sweet disposition; that's just the kind of kitten he is!

Raven's adoption fee is $75, or you can get a discount for adopting kittens in pairs. We encourage all adopters to take into consideration that most cats do better when they have a companion. All of our cats and kittens are kept current on shots, worming, and will be microchipped by us. And when it's time, we'll take care of their spaying or neutering. Plus, they come with a 3-week health guarantee and a 2-week satisfaction or refund guarantee; although we think you'll fall in love and never want to let them go. Call 937-271-1411 or email cat_rescue@earthlink.net to inquire about any of our adoptable cats and kittens. Many of our kitties can also be seen at Pet Supplies Plus on Saturday from 1 to 6; we alternate between Centervillle and Kettering stores so call for that weekend's location before you come.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raven-One Inspiring Little Guy, a Fairborn Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fairborn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Fairborn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairborn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairborn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairborn paves the way for another one to be saved.
