Dion (357365) is a 1 1/2 year old terrier mix. He was so scared in the kennel, but once outside and with people again his true personality started to show again. He is really sweet and is looking for a new home soon. Please come and visit soon. Your walking companion is waiting for you!
Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Stacy Silva at (805) 934-6981 at The Santa Maria Animal Center.
We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.
We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.
At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
The shelter is always in need of blankets, towels, dog and cat treats/toys, peanut butter, litter boxes, leashes/collars. For cash donations go to www.sbcanimalcare.org
