Barnabas's Story...
DOB October 1, 2011. Barnabas is a bright cat with an inquisitive nature, his left eye is more light sensitive than his right one and as a result it is sometimes squinted but is perfectly healthy. Barnabas is very loving and likes to sleep on the pillow beside you at night. He gets along well with other cats and dogs, but would not do well with children because he can play a little too rough when he gets over exited. Barnabas has a laid back personality and is happy just to curl up purring in your lap while you're watching TV. He is curious about most everything and enjoys playing with string and the knickknacks he finds around the house. This warmhearted kitty would make an excellent addition to any caring forever family.

About Our Rescue Group...
Toronto Cat Rescue is a no-kill, non-profit, 100% volunteer group. TCR helps find homes for homeless, abandoned, sick or injured cats, as well as helps cats escape situations of abuse, neglect, or imminent euthanasia. TCR relies on volunteers to foster cats in their homes until a cat lover comes along to adopt them, so we know the cats personalities in a home setting! TCR saves cats from Toronto, GTA & Kitchener area.
Our Adoption Process...
Decided on the kitty you would like to adopt? Please call the TCR Hotline - 416-538-8592 (press 1 for adoptions and leave a message) or email: tcr.adoptions@gmail.com for a pre-adoption interview.

An adoption coordinator will return your call and give you more details about the cat you are interested in and ask some questions about your home to make sure the cat will be a "purr-fect" fit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have as well.

Next you will be supplied with the foster home address to have a meet and greet with your kitty. If both parties are happy, you can sign the TCR Contract of Adoption, pay the adoption fee and take your kitty home with you (in a safe carrying case).

Adoption fee is $175 per cat. This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. It also includes 6 weeks of free pet insurance. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
