Biloxi's Story...
Our kitten room here at ARCF World HQ currently contains the adorable "B" kittens, a litter of four including two girls and two boys. They were born December 18, 2012, so they are just about 9 weeks old now, and ready for their forever families to find them.

These kittens must have a playmate in their new home, so they will be adopted in pairs only. The adoption fee is $150 for a pair of kittens.

They are still too young to know what their adult personalities will be, but for now they are typical kittens: active, hungry, playful, hungry, curious, affectionate, happy and did we mention hungry?

All of our kittens have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, are up to date on vaccines, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

If you are interested in meeting Benjamin, Biloxi, Bianca, and Bigsby, please fill out the "I'm interested" form at our website, and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.

Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc. is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering our pets for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Biloxi, a Portland Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Portland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
