Meet Alphie
You might recognize Alphie. You named him! He was one of the litter of four that came from a high-kill shelter in KY. His three sisters found their forever homes, but Alphie is still searching.
Alphie was recently diagnosed with rickets; a disease of young, growing animals. The most common cause of rickets is a poor diet. Symptoms include bone pain, stiff gait, swelling and difficulty in rising. Rickets is 100% treatable and something young Alphie will eventually grow out of. All he needs is some extra TLC.
We’ve already started Alphie on supplements and a special diet. In the meantime, Alphie has less strength than a normal puppy. He doesn’t have the bounce in his step that most puppies have. Yet.
Alphie is such a sweetheart. He loves to be held. Please consider adopting Alphie. You can help Alphie get back his strength and watch as he grows into a healthy, active, beautiful adult. These puppies adoption fee is $200 each. This covers all age-appropriate shots and vetting.
