I am already neutered, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Doodle's Story...
Doodle is a sweet 2 year old mini poodle mix weighing around 11 pounds. He was brought to the shelter with a broken leg that healed improperly. We took him to our vet where he had surgery to repair the fracture; there were some complications initially, but he is now well on his way to recovery and is using the leg more every day. Doodle has such a sweet disposition that he never snapped or tried to bite while in extreme pain from the surgery.

This little guy bonds quickly and strongly, but he can be hesitant with new people. He is living with two dogs, spends hours tussling with them, and ignores the two cats. He keeps himself busy when his foster parents are at work, carrying shoes from one room to another and shredding newspaper, but has never destroyed anything of value. He is a bit afraid of kids, but that might improve with gradual supervised exposure.

The perfect home for Doodle would be someone who is home a lot and has another dog for companionship. He sleeps with his foster parents and likes to lay his little furry head on your chest while you watch TV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doodle, a San Francisco Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in San Francisco, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in San Francisco.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Francisco already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Francisco breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Francisco paves the way for another one to be saved.
