Russell's Story...
My name is Russell and I am about 1 1/2 years old. I was dumped at Dog House Grooming but luckily they saved me from being all alone and on the street. I am sweet - a little timid but wouldn't you be if you had been abandoned? I like my friend Tilley because she is small - big dogs and me do not get along! I am crate trained and would love to find a perfect loving home who will shower me with toys and affection!

Russell is around 1 1/2yrs old and about 12 lbs. He is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $125.
Meet our dogs! They will be available for adoption at our weekend adoption venues!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Russell, a Houston Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Fox Terrier (Wirehaired) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Fox Terrier (Wirehaired) for sale in Houston, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Fox Terrier (Wirehaired) dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Fox Terrier (Wirehaired) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Fox Terrier (Wirehaired) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
