Ellie was originally adopted from the shelter when she was 5 months old. She came back to us in February when her family was no longer able to keep her. Ellie has seen some difficult times in her short life. She is still afraid of loud noises and sudden movements. She is house trained, likes long walks and loves to be around other dogs. We are looking for a forever home for Ellie with a family that has a fenced yard and is willing to work with this beautiful rescue to help her be the best dog she can be. Contact Foster Mom Lisa if you'd like to meet this dear girl - 770-289-4167.
Our dog and puppy adoption fees are $250. That includes spay/neuter surgery, disease testing (dogs testing positive for heartworms are treated; however, we do not add that charge to our adoption fee), up to date vaccinations, deworming, up to date flea/tick & heartworm prevention, a 24Petwatch microchip and 30 days of ShelterCare pet insurance.

Shelter Info...
Georgia SPCA is an adoption agency that rescues dogs and cats from GA shelters that are in danger of euthanasia. Once we pull an animal, it is vaccinated, quarantined for health reasons, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks AND spayed or neutered prior to being placed up for adoption. We spay and neuter ALL of our pets including puppies and kittens.
We are open M-F 11-7, Sat 11-5 and Sun 1-4. The GA SPCA is on Buford Hwy is between McGinnis Ferry Rd. and Sugarload Parkway. We also have cats and kittens available for adoptions daily at the Flowery Branch Petsmart.
We begin our process with an adoption application. Once approved we sign a contract with the adopter. There is an adoption fee which varies depending on what type of pet. Our adoption fees help us pay for normal business expenses and animal care such as spay/neuter, vaccinations, Feline Leukemia and FIV testing for cats, Heartworm testing for dogs, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm prevention and microchips.
We adopt locally as well as out of state. We can not provide transportation so if you are adopting out of state, you would be responsible for transport.
