Drifter's Story...
Drifter is a 8-10 month old collie mix who has been hit by some bad luck. Well, actually he was hit by a car. Animal control picked him and and because his owners did not come forward they were going to have to put him down. Fortunately the vet saw how wonderfully tempermented and sweet Drifter is and asked animal control to sign him over to the clinic. After surgery (which went perfectly) the vet called us and asked us to find him a home. After meeting this velcro dog and seeing how great he is...OF COURSE WE SAID YES!! Drifter is on doctors orders to take it easy and then to ease back in to activity. But once healed, he should be healed for good. Please come meet this wonderful boy and offer him a comfortable place to recoup.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Drifter, a Fall River Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Fall River, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Fall River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fall River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fall River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fall River paves the way for another one to be saved.
