My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chico is one great big love bug. He is a beautiful black lab mix who is 3 years old and weighs in at 75 lbs. He would love to be a lap dog if you let him. Chico was an owner surrender to a rural shelter and we really don’t understand why. He is now in a great foster home and his foster family says that Chico has a wonderful personality and is very friendly with other dogs and people. He is also good with their cat. Chico is great with everyone he meets and very playful. His favorite thing is snuggling and playing with the other dogs. Chico is good at recall, is housebroken, has the sit command mastered and he would be considered medium energy. He does need some work with walking on a leash as he does pull some, but doing much better with practice. Chico is a big baby, who loves to be with people and other animals and will be a great asset to any family. All he needs is a home of his own.
Chico is neutered, heartworm negative, up-to-date on his vaccinations including rabies and he is micro-chipped. He is a very smart boy and would excel in any kind of obedience class and would definitely be the star student. It will be a lucky family who is able to adopt this boy.
