Remington's Story...
Hi everyone! I'm Remington, and I'm a lot of fun! I came from the Yuma Humane Society, and have made lots of new friends here at Friends for Life. I am energetic and love to play with all sorts of toys. I am a wonderful kisser - I am a Certified Puppy Facial Delivery Professional. I love to have my belly rubbed, and LOVE walks! I am a little bit mouthy when I play - typical puppy - so I would do best in a home with no small children. Please come and meet me and fall in love with me - all my volunteer friends love me!

Update on me: I was adopted a few months ago but will be back with Friends for Life starting on 2/23/13 - my mom that adopted me has a great opportunity to study abroad for a year and I would not want her to miss that opportunity. She wants to make sure I get the best home so she will be bringing me on Saturdays for adoption day. She has lots of cool stuff to say about me - I love walks, love toys, I am housetrained, and I will not crowd you in bed! The adoption counselors can tell you more when you meet me. Be warned - you will fall in love, I promise!

About Our Rescue Group...
Friends for Life Animal Rescue is a registered nonprofit, volunteer-based, no-kill organization. Started in 1993 Friends for Life maintains an adoption center for it's rescued animals, a low-cost spay and neuter program (grant-funded), and a network of foster homes. Friends for Life also attends off-site locations to adopt the homeless cats and dogs and the organization is always looking for help. Friends for Life does not have a veterinarian on site or on staff. We utilize discounted services of veterinarians kind enough to do so for our rescued animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Remington, a Gilbert Labrador Retriever/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Husky for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Husky dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Husky breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
